Benrus GI Watch - 1969

Benrus GI Watch - 1969

We snag as many of these superb vintage military watches up whenever we get the chance! Commonly seen in the more modern homage models from the likes of Timex, here is an authentic, manual winding, 17 Jewel hacking movement (DR 2F2), dated 1969 and issued by Benrus for the US military.

This is an excellent, affordable timepiece with a near-perfect case, stunning dial, and original hands, all with a beautifully aged patina. The stamping on the case back is crisp and clear and it’s running like a champ. If it’s good enough for the US military, it’s good enough for our common trials and tribulations!

Case is corrosion resistant matte grey steel. Size is approximately 34mm (excluding the crown).

Overall condition: Light wear to case, Dial is in fantastic original condition featuring 12 & 24 Hour Markings. Lume markers have faded to a lovely patina. Matching original hands. Case back stamped with serial and date (April 1969).

Includes two Crown & Buckle 18mm Nylon Straps.
