Our relationship to the world-famous Red Bar Crew is simple: we all LOVE watches!
But more than that, we love the knowledge, camaraderie, and occasional debauchery that surrounds us when we get together with the local chapter to pour back a few choice beverages and play with watches.
If you haven’t heard of Red Bar Crew, it's an underground collective of drinking enthusiasts with a wristwatch habit. Originally founded in New York City by a couple of guys who enjoyed talking about their hobby with others over a cold pint, Red Bar Crew now has chapters in cities worldwide. Unlike other collector groups, Red Bar is an inclusive club in which all are welcome, regardless of experience level or taste in wrist-wear.
Be it vintage or modern, high horology or budget beater, every person and every watch is welcome at Red Bar (OK, one caveat: no Invictas allowed!).
A social media phenomenon with a robust member base, the Red Bar Crew is regularly courted by the major Swiss, American, and Japanese brands, that often host events specifically for the group. Red Bar Crew has also been covered in mainstream media by Business Insider, The New York Times, CNN, and Esquire.
Late last year, we commissioned Hatch Show Print in Nashville, Tennessee, to create a short-run batch of limited edition prints celebrating the group. The first two were gifted to the founding members at our 2014 Holiday Party, and the remaining prints are now available for purchase here on our site. These high-quality prints were made entirely by hand, using a traditional press at the country’s oldest print shop.
All proceeds from the sale of these fun prints will be donated to a local charity in New York City in the name of Red Bar Group.
