Who doesn’t love a mechanical alarm? The buzzing, the vibrating, the old world charm. This Advisor Reference 7926 has everything we love about a wrist alarm and more—it’s a Tudor.

The 34mm diameter makes this Advisor an easy choice for daily wear, but its sturdy construction is in perfect accord with Tudor’s ethos: to be worn, and to wear well. The sportiness its brought home by the “Explorer” style dial (lightly stippled with patina), with Arabic numerals at the poles. But it’s so handsome and distinctive that you could easily get away with wearing it with a suit.

The Story

Introduced in 1957, the Advisor is Tudor’s first—and only—wrist alarm. As an answer to the ever-popular JLC Memovox or the Vulcain Cricket, the Advisor presented something unique and exciting to the consumer. Unlike the competition, the Advisor relied on a pin affixed to the inside of the case back, upon which a hammer struck, sounding the alarm.

Eventually, however, Tudor would implement the dual case back design, phasing out the Reference 7926. Consequently, the Reference 7926 would have only a short production run—twelve years. Surviving examples are uncommon, but still resonate with collectors today.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
