Why We Love It
For many wristwatch collectors, the name that is printed on the dial is where they begin assessing the value of a watch. But at analog/shift, we believe that there is much more to consider.
This Sicura diver from the 1970s features a 41mm cushion style case which was commonly used in the decade. An exotic bi-sectional dial is composed of silver, black, and grey with orange detailing throughout. In the metal, the silver section is sunburst, a term used to describe certain dials that shimmer in certain lighting conditions. The neon orange accenting on the hour offer a sharp, sporty contrast.
The design of the seconds hand is straight up cool, and filled with tritium. Overall, the condition is superb and shows little signs of wear. A true sign that the previous owner handled it with extreme care.
Fortunately, some will recognize that these less known watches offer an incredible opportunity to own a quality watch at a fraction of the price.
Stainless steel case is approximately 41mm (excluding the crown). Automatic-winding movement. Circa 1970s.
Overall Condition: The case is in fantastic condition overall showing only the lightest signs of wear from gentle use. Luminous grey and silver dial is in excellent condition with intact luminous plots and a matching white handset. Unsigned crowns.
Includes black Band-R-Bands Rallye strap with steel buckle.
