Why We Love It
Whether it's a $3,000 dress watch or a $75,000 Daytona, all sides of the vintage Rolex spectrum appeal to us equally. Take for example, this Rolex Precision - perhaps the most simple and understated representation of what a Rolex can be.
Dating to circa 1968, this watch is a bit of an oddity. It is a Rolex yes, but with an extra slim snap back case, it is not what one usually expects to see from the king of sport watches. With its simple and elegant time only silver sunburst dial, it is the unexpected choice for those seeking a dress watch.
Many vintage watch collectors and enthusiasts long to find that lesser known vintage Rolex to punctuate their collections. And considering the rather approachable price point of this Precision, it is hard to argue with.
Stainless steel case is approximately 34mm (excluding the crown). Calibre 6933 manually winding movement. Circa 1968.
Overall Condition: The case is in great condition overall showing normal wear consistent with age and use and no sign of polish. Non luminous silver sunburst dial is good condition with applied indicies, and light oxidation spotting throught. Small indentation present between 10 and 11 o'clock. Signed crown. Caseback is engraved with Rolex Coronet and serial number.
Includes brown leather strap with steel pin buckle.
