Jaeger LeCoultre Triple Calendar Moonphase

Jaeger LeCoultre Triple Calendar Moonphase

Why We Love It

Its fairly safe to say that in this day and age, Jaeger LeCoultre doesn't always get the recognition that they deserve.

That is not to say that they aren't held in high regard. But the level of innovation, craftsmanship, and design that JLC has demonstrated over the course of their existence simply cannot be understated.

This particular watch, with its triple calendar and moon-phase functions, is the perfect example of what happens when horological tradition and innovation combine. In addition to this watches arsenal of complications, its ability to display them in a legible and functional manner all in a 32mm case is a truly impressive feat.

In terms of elegant design and horological prowess, this a watch that punches way above its weight class.

The Story

From its inception and on to the present day, Jaeger-LeCoultre has produced timepieces that are both timeless and perpetually-appealing. Though their quality is often dramatically underrated, JLC's present-day pieces sing to us in the same soft, alluring timbre as their vintage offerings. With understated elegance, they exude an appeal that even the most steadfast of vintage collectors can't resist.

We love JLC in part because they are a true manufacture, producing a wide range of in-house movements. With a cadre of truly iconic pieces - among them the Reverso, the Deep Sea Alarm, the Memovox, the Geophysic (both the 1958 original, and the 2014 reissue), and the Mark XI, to name a few - JLC has managed to encompass both technical and aesthetic brilliance.
