Dugena 2 Register Chronograph

Dugena 2 Register Chronograph

Why We Love It

It's not everyday that we get our hands on a watch from the 1960s that's truly new old stock.

Featuring a flawless navy blue dial with contrasting white sub-dials, the watch comes off as complicated yet subtle The creamy tritium plots throughout are in fantastic condition. Not only is this Dugena attractive in all the right ways, its razor sharp case houses the work horse Valjoux 7733 movement - a horological engine often found in far more expensive timepieces.

With its accessible price point, we whole-heartedly believe this to be the perfect gateway watch into the world of vintage chronograph collecting.

Down the rabbit hole you go...

The Story

Established in 1917, Dugena was less of a brand and more of an association that had many manufactures under its umbrella. BWC, Fortis, and Alpina all took part. In fact, it’s this last brand—Alpina—that forms part of the association’s name: Deutsche Uhrmacher Genossenschaft Alpina, or DUGENA.

Dugena was highly respected for making quality and reliable watches at a price that was highly competitive.

Stainless steel case is approximately 35.5mm (excluding the pusher & crown). Valjoux 7733 manually-winding movement.

Overall Condition: The case is in near mint condition overall showing virtually no signs of wear. Tritium luminous matte blue dial is in near mint condition with crisp printing, lightly aged luminous indicies and painted white handset. Unsigned crown.

Includes suede navy Hodinkee strap with steel pin buckle. Also includes vintage black leather strap with hang tags.
