Patek Philippe Back Wind 'Arte Suizo'

Patek Philippe Back Wind 'Arte Suizo'

Why We Love It

Some vintage wristwatches are works of art first - and timepieces second. Dating to the 1970s, this Reference 3573 Back Wind is in a word - exquisite.

Featuring a 36mm square case constructed from solid 18k white gold housing a self-winding Calibre 350 movement, this beautiful piece houses a stunning radiant silver dial double signed by Colombian retailer Arte Suizeo with blue enamel indices and matching handset. With the inclusion of an integrated white gold mesh bracelet, this svelte Patek packs some serious wrist presence and horological history.

Collecting vintage wristwatches isn't just about form-follows-function tool watches, it is also about beauty, craftsmanship, and history, which this beauty has in spades!

The Story

Founded in 1839, Patek Philippe is one of the oldest watch manufacturers in the world with an uninterrupted watchmaking history. Few luxury brands in the world carry the gravitas of their name, and for good reason. The firm's commitment to excellence in horological manufacture is unflinching, and their track record of innovation in design without peer. They continue to lead the industry, and even their fiercest competitors have nothing but the utmost respect for the company.

Vintage Patek Philippe is for many the ultimate goal of timepiece collecting, and for a certain type, the only vintage timepieces they collect. Whichever way you look at it, there is no questioning the elegance of design, superlative manufacture of their movements, and that finding these characteristics on a vintage piece that also tells a story is some next level shit.
