Our love for vintage DOXA should be pretty obvious at this point. In our opinion, DOXA's contributions to the sport of SCUBA diving and the development of the modern diver's watch is nothing short of legendary.
We've gone on ad nauseum - and will continue to do so at any time if you let us - about why we feel this storied brand is undervalued and under-appreciated, and why their Sub Series diving watches from the 1960s and 1970s are just about the coolest thing you could ever strap to your wrist. Seriously, drop us a line anytime and we'll talk your ear off! But for now we'll set aside the soapbox, save you the diatribe, and just tell you a bit about this awesome Sharkie.
This particular example is in outstanding overall condition, having been completely overhauled and restored by a DOXA expert. The case is crisp and sharp, and the bezel (which are usually prone to damage, scratches, and paint loss) is in outstanding original condition. The dial is incredibly clean and was professionally relumed to match the original hands. Simply gorgeous. The orange dialed 300 Professional may be the iconic DOXA model but the black dialed Sharkhunter is just plain cool. Oh, and Cousteau's personal DOXA was a Sharkie...so, there ya go.
Steel Case is approximately 42mm (excluding the crown).
Overall condition: Case is in excellent overall condition, professionally re-brushed. Original dial is in excellent condition overall, with no signs of spotting or corrosion. Luminous plots have been professionally relumed to match the excellent original hands which retain their original lume. Minor wear on bezel surface. Light signs of wear to underside of case. Original crown and case back signed Synchron.
Includes two 20mm Crown & Buckle Nylon Straps
