Girard Perregaux Chronometer "HF" High Frequency

Girard Perregaux Chronometer "HF" High Frequency

Girard-Perregaux is a Swiss brand rich with history which has been under-represented on as far as we're concerned, and we aim to change that by bringing some exceptional examples of their vintage timepieces to market in the coming months.

To start things off, we have sourced this awesome antimagnetic piece from the late 1960s.  Featuring a gold plated case with silver dial, gold markers and hands, date function and a raised chapter ring, this stunning piece is in tremendous original condition!  Powered by the chronometer grade High Frequency (36,000 vph) Gyromatic Calibre 32A, it is clear that Girard Perregaux was at the top of their precision watchmaking game long before many of their competitors.  In fact, when these pieces were original sold, they had a price tag of nearly twice that of a Rolex GMT Master!

Built in a limited production run of only 662 pieces, the Calibre 32A saw its way into a variety of Gyromatic signed pieces of different case designs, making each an extremely limited and interesting piece.  Indeed, there is an enthusiastic group of collectors who seek these rare references, making clean examples even harder to come by.

Sized intelligently at 37mm, this piece absolutely gleams on the wrist, and strikes a balance between casual and dress functionality - with some high grade precision-crafted guts ticking away (very, very smoothly) on the inside!
