IWC established itself as a manufacturer of aviation watches, starting with the first watch ever developed solely for aviation, the Spezialuhr für Flieger or Special Pilot's Watch, in 1936. Some years later, they created one of the most sought after military watches in history - The Mark XI

The Mark XI entered military service in 1949 and was decommissioned in 1981. Its size (slightly small by today's standards) belies the sturdiness and dependability of this robust navigating machine.

This piece, the Mark XVIII Edition HODINKEE, is a modern take on the classic pilot's watch formula, as executed by two of the most revered names in the industry. Finished with a perfectly-sized 39mm black case constructed out of 'Ceratanium' (a proprietary blend of titanium and ceramics), this Limited Edition timepiece is fitted with a no-date matte black dial with creamy luminous paint. Internally, an anti-magnetic self-winding movement provides power. 

This particular example comes complete with its inner box, cleaning cloth, books, and warranty card, and shows only the slightest amount of wear since its original purchase in September 2019.

Created numbered in a limited run of just 500 pieces, the IWC Pilots Watch Mark XVIII Edition HODINKEE sold out instantly, as has become the norm for virtually all limited 'Big H' releases, making it an instant classic.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
