Every man needs a versatile everyday watch in his quiver; one that can be easily dressed up or down, works like a charm, and gives him all the information he could ever want with a quick glance at his wrist. Of course vintage is always a good way to go...particularly when they look like this!
The Omega Seamaster line is about as diverse as one can imagine, with petite, ultra-thin gold dress pieces on one end of the spectrum, and giant steel monocoque professional divers on the other. Smack dab in the middle is this guy - an absolutely stunning steel automatic with date. With a stunning patination to its original silver dial and pink gold hands and markers, this relatively simple piece is elevated to a whole new level. With its original matching bracelet or paired up with a distressed leather strap, the genius of this simple design shines through and makes for the perfect companion piece in a variety of setting.
Sized at 35mm, and with a brick-shithouse Calibre 562 ticking away inside, this is a no-brainer; simple, easy, with the perfect amount of aging and patina. No need to say more!
Stainless steel case is approximately 35mm (excluding crown). Omega Reference 166.010. Calibre 562 Automatic Winding Movement. Circa 1960s.
Overall condition: Case is in excellent condition overall, showing no glaring marks or scraps. Dial shows beautiful patination throughout. Original sword hands show signs of oxidation consistent with age. Original case back and signed crown.
