The first Rolex Explorer II was launched in 1971 and has been in continuous production ever since, making it an absolute staple in the pantheon of Rolex sport watches. With indisputably stunning looks that work in the office and the field, the Explorer II is appealing to a tremendously broad market. Of course, most people would queue up to buy a brand new one at retail…but you know better, which is why you’re here.
What you are looking at is an excellent single-owner example of the current production Reference 216570, often referred to as the 'Orange Hand' amongst collectors. Bought new in December 2018, this Explorer II features a slightly oversized case, polar white dial, sapphire crystal, and the characteristic orange 24-hour hand. The fixed 24-hour bezel in steel is also here, a hallmark of its ancestor the original Reference 1655.
Absolutely complete with its original boxes, guarantee card, sales receipt, COSC hangtag and in lightly worn, unpolished condition with a full set of bracelet links, this piece is a wonderful option for a daily wearer, sporting the iconic looks of the original in a thoughtfully contemporary package.
Obviously our tastes generally run to the vintage and patinated, but every once in awhile its nice to strap on a modern piece that can take a thrashing and begs to actually be use for the tasks it was originally intended!

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.
We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.
Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
