Rolex Milguass - V Serial

Rolex Milguass - V Serial

One of the coolest parts about wristwatches are the variety of specialized tasks they can be designed for - be it diving, aviation, motorsports, yachting, or even measuring how much time you have left on your parking meter.  If you can think of it, chances are someone has figured out how to make a wristwatch to suit the lifestyle and environmental needs of its wearer.

In 1956, Rolex unveiled the Milgauss, an anti-magnetic wristwatch designed for use in places with strong magnetic fields such as research laboratories, power plants, and medical facilities.  Named for its ability to withstand fields of up to 1000 gauss, the Milgauss became an industry standard anti-magnetic timepiece along with its counterparts - the IWC Ingenieur and the Omega Railmaster.  The relatively unusual nature of its specialization makes vintage versions an interesting collector's piece, but the model is still in production today, and the latest versions are truly striking.

In fact, we'd go so far as to say the V-Serial Milgauss, such as the example we have presented here, may just be our favorite modern-era Rolex.  With its classic Oyster case design, dial detail, and unmissable lightning-bolt seconds hand, this is a supremely cool watch!  While many buyers tend to go for the green crystals variant, these sharp white, orange, and black details make this example is truly striking, the kind of timepiece that is just hard to stop looking at...
