The first Rolex Submariner was launched in 1954 and has been in continuous production ever since, making it one of the longest running models of any timepiece made. With indisputably stunning looks that match virtually any situation, the Submariner presents itself to a tremendously broad market. Of course, most people would queue up to buy a brand new one at retail…but you know better, which is why you’re here.
What you are looking at is an excellent single-owner example of the current production Reference 116610LN, often known as the Ceramic or C-Sub amongst collectors. Bought new in 2012, this Submariner features a sapphire crystal, glossy dial, and was the first Date model Submariner to be fitted with a ceramic bezel insert. Absolutely complete with its original box, guarantee card, and hangtag and in lightly worn, unpolished condition, this piece is a wonderful option for a daily wearer, sporting the iconic looks of the original in a thoughtfully contemporary package.
Obviously our tastes will always run to the vintage and patinated, but every once in awhile its nice to strap on a modern piece that can take a thrashing and begs to be used as designed!
