DO YOU NEGOTIATE ON PRICING?

Unlike the 'traditional' dealer model of marking our prices up for the sole purpose of negotiating down - a process which, in our experience, leaves both parties unsatisfied. We strive to price our products sensibly to market from the start, of course, factoring in condition, rarity, and the value of our service warranty and guarantees. To that end, no, we do not negotiate on our listed prices.

ARE ANALOG SHIFT WATCHES SERVICED?

All Analog:Shift products get carefully examined before listing to ensure authenticity. Any noticeable restoration or replacement components will be disclosed. If mechanical service is required (anything from a regulation to a complete mechanical teardown and rebuild), it will be performed prior to listing. All our timepieces are sold with a 1-Year mechanical warranty and a guarantee of authenticity in perpetuity.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST THE WORD "ORIGINAL"?

Unlike automobiles, which have a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) stamped on every major component, wristwatches do not. Without a crystal ball, it is simply impossible to guarantee that any watch is fitted with every component originally as it left the factory. We instead choose to use the terms' authentic' and 'correct' - which aren't misleading in this way.

WHY DON'T YOU LIST THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURE?

In most cases, it is simply not possible to guarantee what year a watch was assembled and shipped from the factory. The batch manufacturing process used extensively in watchmaking means that components are produced separately in batches, made, and sent as needed. To that end, a case, dial, and movement may have been produced for several years, assembled when orders came in and sold at retail sometime later.

So even when a watch has dated paperwork, it isn't necessarily a trustworthy indicator of when a watch got made. Furthermore, since most watch brands do not disclose their production records, dating most timepieces to a particular year is a fool's errand. Instead of getting yourself hung up on the exact year something was made, find an excellent watch from the era you're looking to celebrate- we promise you'll be much happier in the end!

HOW DO YOU GUARANTEE AUTHENTICITY?

Analog:Shift stands behind the authenticity of our products in perpetuity.

DO YOU PRESSURE TREAT YOUR WATCHES?

We do not. Our timepieces are predominantly vintage or pre-owned; we do not recommend using them in wet environments. For a nominal fee, we can pressure test and replace gaskets upon request; however, we do not guarantee the water resistance of any of our watches in any scenario.

Think of it like this: No matter how well a watch is constructed, you're ultimately relying on a small rubber gasket to keep moisture out - and rubber gaskets fail with alarming frequency. Unlike a brand-new wristwatch with a replacement guarantee, our watches are unique in their wear, character, and patina. While we'd have no concerns wearing most of our timepieces every day, keep them the hell out of the water (showers, steam rooms, saunas, and foam parties...)

WHAT IS A "FULL-KIT"?

A 'full-kit' is when a watch comes with a combination of box, warranty cards, receipts, brochures, or tags. Carefully read each watch description for specific details and conditions for each timepiece.

HOW DO WE DEFINE VINTAGE, NEO-VINTAGE, AND CONTEMPORARY PRE-OWNED?

Analog: Shift defines each category based on material, design, and historical information based on when the watch was manufactured.

WHAT TYPE OF WARRANTY DOES ANALOG:SHIFT OFFER?

We back each Analog/Shift vintage timepiece with a one-year mechanical warranty from the date of purchase. To the extent necessary, all of our pieces are given maintenance and service by a member of our team of expert watchmakers prior to sale, so they will be running within reasonable gain/loss limits and functioning as intended upon receipt.

The majority of our timepieces run on manual winding or automatic movements, which are not as accurate as modern quartz. None of our timepieces are guaranteed water-resistant. Routine care is always necessary.

The following circumstances may void our warranty: internal or external damage caused by accidents, mishandling, abusive treatment of the watch, modifications, attempted repairs, or tampering by unauthorized third parties. Our warranty is non-transferrable.

Please be mindful that our products are vintage and pre-owned, with many decades of wear and use. As with a vintage automobile, regular maintenance and care is recommended and required to ensure the lasting reliability of your timepiece. Exclusions apply.

WHAT ARE THE EXCLUSIONS APPLIED?

This warranty does not cover damage or wear to the case, crown, crystal, strap, bracelet, or battery. Any tampering, modifications, alterations to the timepiece, or any service by any party other than Analog:Shift or Watches of Switzerland group or the manufacturer will void this warranty. This warranty does not cover accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, or maintenance service.

HOW IS MY ORDER SHIPPED?

Analog:Shift and Watches of Switzerland offer fast and free shipping on every US Mainland order. We ship Monday to Thursday via our secure overnight delivery services. All deliveries are made between 8.00 AM and 6.00 PM and require an adult signature upon receipt. Please note, we cannot ship watches to P.O. Box addresses.

CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

When your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification containing the tracking information and tracking your order. All Analog:Shift and Watches of Switzerland online purchases require a direct adult signature upon receipt. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned to any Analog:Shift or Watches of Switzerland stores within ten days of purchase for timepieces and all other merchandise within 30 days. The item must be unworn, undamaged, and with the original packaging for a full refund or exchange. All refunds will be credited in the same tender used for the original purchase.
